It's been a long time since I've felt that sense of defeat. According to the scale, I'm up almost a whole pound. After an hour to ponder the implications of my negative number, I've decided that I'm glad that I didn't lose this week. I was able to catalog at least a dozen little bites, little cheats, small tastes, itty bitty exceptions... YEP that's me. The cheater. I think that I attempted to log most of them, but maybe I did a poor job of it. Some I just ignored thinking to myself, "oh, I was probably over logging another food".

New goal this week - NO itty bitty bites. I have a pretty good eating style. I eat about 90% whole foods, the 10% being sugar free coffee creamer and the occasional laughing cow wedge.

All that being said - I went shopping yesterday for some clothes that fit. It's a rotten problem to have, not feeling good in your baggy clothes. Mostly my pants are annoying, always having to cinch them down with a belt or pull them up. After 5-6 pairs of pants tried on, I'm in a 14, all day. Every pair of pants that I tried, the 14 was the size that fit. Dare I try a size 12? Not yet. I also tried on some Levi 501s. For me, the Levi 501 jeans are the most consistent, tried and true pair of jeans out there. They look like crap on me. BUT, they haven't changed the way they make them, nor the size that they cut them to. I fit into a 36" waist yesterday (which translates typically into a size 14 misses) - modern sizing is really skewed to make women feel better about their size. The point is that I haven't shimmied my little butt into a 36 Levi 501s since I was 22 years old. THAT is something to celebrate!

Don't worry about the small gain. We all go through periods where we don't do as well as we'd like. Since May you've lost about 25 lbs and now have to buy smaller clothes...no defeat there at all, just moving forward on the journey. :)

Jenalena, you are still on track, ive been stuck at my 180 barrier for almost a month, but just like you last weekend, I went into M&S and was able to buy a size 16 straight of the rail, I too felt really great, our shapes are getting better and our health is improving, Sure we are winners no matter what the scale says !

I'm right there with you! I went to Dillard's and grabbed some shorts that were on clearance. Realistically, I'm a size 14 as well, but I found some shorts that almost fell off with a tag for size 11. Plus they were stretchy. I ended up grabbing the size 7 (same cut and stretchy), because they fit like a real 14 should have. But I must admit, it was nice to put on something that showed my goal size (7-9), even if it isn't true yet, it makes me thrilled that someday I can make it a reality! ;) Keep up the good work!
