It is now nearly a year (started 13th January 2013) since I committed to disciplined eating, for instance, no sugary or refined foods,very restricted coffee intake - alcohol and fatty, salty food at the weekends. I attribute this mainly to changing to a whole food diet that includes beans, brown rice, lots of chillies and spices, nuts and seeds, flapjacks and granola, wholesome soups and last but not least, coconut oil for frying and making the above mentioned flapjacks and granola. The result is that my cholesterol has come down and I know what 'supple' means now.
149.9 lb Lost so far: 13.2 lb.    Still to go: 17.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.4 lb a week
