20 days of fasting. Wow. My record. Never felt better. New goal is 77kg. Around 2 weeks from now. I'm ingesting 50 kcal per day on average but in no way its breaking the fast. Mostly olives, lettuce and limes. Bought organic chicken broth today that has 5 kcal per 100ml. Made 4 cups (half broth, half hot water) so 20 kcal. It tastes sooo good and has much needed electrolytes.
197.3 lb Lost so far: 27.6 lb.    Still to go: 27.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 07 September 2022:

So this could be my ignorance and I know different things work for different people but was wondering what the difference is between intermittent fasting and 20 days of fasting? I only ask as 20 days seems more like long term restrictive calorie consumption. I'm looking to lose weight but no idea how I could sustain a healthy balanced diet on just 50 calories a day long term without people thinking i had an eating disorder?

It's not for me, I'd end up stuffing my face, good luck though

Thanks everyone for support! to start with books worth checking - dr. Gundry Unlocling the keto code and if you really want to fast (not for everyone) then Dr. Fung Complete guide to fasting @bryonyrm Yea for me only the extreme approach works tbh. The best diet is time restricted which means you eat only for couple hours a day and then as much as possible fast (18:6 is probably best). 50 calories a day is basically fasting so not recommended long term. Try cutting down hours (no breakfast for starters) and work your way to that 16:8 with normal amount of calories recommended for your body. @Nadia Awni Yes i plan to in 2 weeks, life is about balancing, time for fast and time for feast. But i want to get to 77kg and stay there, so if weiggt increases then ill do 1-2 day fasts to go back @Elle_111 I did many fasts for the last 15 years, it does get easier once body gets used to it. But if you dont feel well then stop immediately. Im taking activated charcoal, chlorella (to bind toxins released from fat) and vitamin d3 and some inulin prebiotic. Im walking everyday and swimming every couple days. I plan to continue for 2 more weeks until i get to 77kg goal. Lets see 😎

Sounds incredibly dangerous to consume 1000 calories in 20 days. You burn around 1700 calories per day. That’s 34,000 calories in 20 days. You will of course lose weight rapidly but most will be muscle, not fat, which doesn’t benefit you.
