Keidrake's Journal, 25 August 2022

I did it!! I flippin did it! Officially 30.5 lbs down! Goal 1 for the month of August is now complete! Wooo! I may have shouted hell yeah when I stepped on the scale this morning. lmao. Hubs came and asked if I was alright! :D lmao.

Tomorrow is the weigh-in at the doctor's office. Hoping to see a 10lb loss on their scale too. It'll be higher than what I see at home, since I'll be fully clothed with shoes on when they weigh me. Is what it is.

Walked my 1st mile on the treadmill today in 25m30s, did the same mile on Monday at 27m10s. So improvement.

I saw the chiropractor this morning after the gym as well. Told my kid that I was going to go get snap, crackled, popped. She was like 'what?' So I followed that up with: I got to go see a man about some rice krispies. Then the kid was really confused. lmao. I grabbed my keys and skiddaddled so I wouldn't be late.

Had left over pot roast for lunch, and sadly there were only 3 little carrots left, seriously one of my favorite parts of good pot roast. But it was really good. I always thing pot roast is better over the next few days. Down to meat and potatoes now. Totally ate lunch with a giant ice pack strapped to my back though. I was having muscle spasms at the chiro. He could see them happening. -_- Also I need a roller bed thing like they have. Amazing. Totally a highlight of my day, and it felt great after the gym and the shower. Now after food and ice, I could use a nap while it rains. But since I think I'd over sleep and be late to pick up the youngest kid from school, it'll just have to wait til after I get her home.

Hope everyone else has a great day out there! Keep working it!

By the way. I have had muscle spasms for about 45 years on and off. When I first got them I was sent to a Sports Medicine Doctor MD. (Back then Motrin was a prescription drug, lol). He prescribed Motrin, and ice 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. (Now I use frozen veggies instead of ice.) This is just sharing my experience, not giving advice.

Sugarplum, I feel for you having to deal with them. I use to take motrin (ibprofen) But I'm not allowed to take that anymore because of what I take for nerve pain and inflamation. I keep ice packs in the freezer, I have some that are the length of my whole back which are great. They don't freeze hard either, so there is always a little give to them to help mold them to the back. I see my primary care doctor tomorrow so I'll see what he says about it then. I do have muscle relaxers to take if I need them as well.
