skydiverjim's Journal, 25 May 2022

I have not been on this site as often as I am during the winter months because when the warm weather months roll around I feel the need to take advantage of them.

In the winter it is almost like I go into hibernation - that is when I gain all the weight (especially these last couple of years) and in the warm weather I come alive again. I am thinking maybe this winter will be different because the wife is talking about taking a traveling nurse position in the south. I will probably spend time with her there. That may mark the end of the political period of my life too.

So now, as I look back, I had a period of being a professional soldier, a corporate executive, a business owner/operator, a government employee and a politician. I once read where the average person has five career paths that he pursues in his life. That could mean I am truly ready for retirement now. We shall see. Tonight is a political event and then the Memorial Day weekend we have a couple of charity motorcycle rides to take part in. Well, now I am off to the gym again – I hope all my FS friends have a productive and great day. I am with you all in spirit, even if I don’t spend as much time writing as I once did.
