Kristal L's Journal, 14 February 2022

Well here we go again! I was in a bad ATV accident in July of 2020 and have been off the weight loss journey. With the way the world has been these last 2 years and my accident I have had my depression, anxiety, and PTSD poke it’s ugly head out to play and it’s just hanging on like a bad haemorrhoid so I’ve been a sitting duck. It’s so hard to get motivation wile fighting these illnesses and physical healing to boot. I got clearance to go back to the gym in October 2021 but with COVID there was no point as they were closed more then open. Now here we sit February 14th 2022 and I’m jumping back in with both feet yet again. We started the no heavy bad carb thing today and I will see where I’m at in 2 weeks and decide then if I keep at it or try something else. I am at my heaviest I have ever been and I absolutely hate it and need to change it! My original goal has and always will be 150lbs but I gotta start small so I’m looking at 10lbs milestones in hopes this will help me get there this time. I guess we will see how it goes. Looking at everyday with positivity but always striving for a better tomorrow!
262.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 62.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I here you and hope you’re feeling better! It’s so hard sometimes to stay motivated. I lost over 55 pounds a year before Covid then with it came severe depression my post menopausal symptoms rearing their ugly head and in general no motivation. Not only did I put on 50 pounds in 2 years but now have Diabetes Type 2 and high cholesterol and blood pressure. I reembarked on this journey in November and have been able to bring my blood pressure to normal and blood sugar and cholesterol to normal and loose 35 pounds .. still have a bit to go to and it’s been hard to keep going sometimes as I as well have other issues but somehow slowly I’m getting there and you will too. This is a permanent lifestyle change for me and now hopefully will be able to come off some of the meds.

Thank you Scrumptious57 and congratulations on your achievements. I have full confidence that you will get there and be able to come off some of the meds soon. It really sucks when you fall off but we get back on and work hard to get to where we want. We have this girl!! Keep up the amazing work.

Thanks Krista everyone on here has been so kind. It’s difficult for me as I have no support system. I guess I’m my own support system. I looked after my parents for years and when I lost them within a 10 month period many years ago I felt a part of me go with them. It’s been rough and eating is my go to therapy sadly. I have siblings that don’t bother which is hard as life is short and sometimes it’s hard to live with. You try to pick yourself up and hope that things will get better and you do it for yourself for better health but it’s hard definitely with no support. I find the support here is amazing and it helps . I hope things for you get better as well and things keep looking up for you.

It is REALLY tough with the world falling apart at the seams. I get it and go through the same emotional struggles. But, bear in mind that taking care of yourself will truly help to weather these storms. I like your small goals approach - very smart. Keep at it!
