I eat a lot at my meals, but in between I always want to snack, even if I am not even hungry! It's like snacking is a habit that I got used to doing! Today I just told myself that it is only 1 hour and 45 minutes until dinner. I just kept walking and then I drank my tea. I did not starve. I survived.

I have to physically smack my hands and tell myself no! Finnished eating now! And put whatever food I had in my hands back, walk off and never look back!:-):O;-)

I always give myself a personal challenge, I tell myself I must complete a task around the house or at the gym to earn my snack eg fold, sort or do washing, or do an extra 10 squats, lunges etc. After that I usually have forgotten about the craving or have realised i didn't want it really

I like that idea rynni doing something positive instead of mindless snacking!

There are a dozen things I could be doing instead of mindless snacking! I haven't tried smacking my own hand yet. That sounds like fun and not as painful as the rubber band technique! A few years ago, people wore a rubber band around their wrist and when they wanted to snack they would pull on it and it would snap back into place and hurt, reminding them not to eat. Too painful! I like the playful self hand smacking. :)
