Deb_N's Journal, 20 May 2014

I always take my challenges seriously! No eating after 7 pm during that challenge! No chocolate eating during Chocolate Addicts Challenge. I'm still working on all of my challenges, although my weigh in is not automatically showing up in my challenges. I have to write on each challenge wall to update how I'm doing. I have so many challenges that the updating takes time, which I would rather be spending reading everyone else's journals and weigh in! Good luck, everyone!

You are doing so great! I have challenge issues too because my laptop is playing up and I'm using my phone to weigh in and journal so it doesn't update automatically! Very happy to have you in my challenges you are a huge motivation to see someone doing so well kicks my butt into gear;-)

You go girl! Sounds like a lot of work, just checking in on all your challenges, but I think you are awesome for commiting to them. I haven't found a challenge to do in a while, partly because I can't safely commit to any exercise challenges (long, boring, back-issues). I already drink a lot of water everyday, but since I don't document it, I haven't wanted to do a "water" challenge. I get hypoglycemic if I don't eat something before bed, so I can't do those "no food after 7 pm" type challenges. I prefer to stay in a 1200-1500 range, with some lower days and some higher days, and that's working fine for me, so I don't want to commit to a super-low caloric intake challenge. I enjoy my occasional sweet treats and they help me stick with everything else, so no "cut out all sugar" challenges for me. Hmmm, what does that leave?

Gillian there must be a challenge that you can do. Some exercise challenges just ask you to pick something that you can do and do it. I usually pick walking. When you click on Challenges at the top of the page, look to the right side where it says Challenge Search and click on "Pending" which means challenges that have not started yet. [Nobody can join a challenge that is already active or completed.] If there is not a challenge that you like, you can check back in a few days for any new challenges or think about starting a challenge that you would enjoy. Hope this helps!

Gilliansings,Check out my challenge. Help I can't stop eating it's called and all it is, is stick to your RDI. You can change your rdi from day to day just stick to what you've set yourself each day!

That's terrible - hope FS fixes it soon. Have you tried logging in elsewhere...like the Australia site? I've found that usually clears weigh in issues and you can document / update the challenges that way.

Deb, I so admire you for taking your challenges seriously & sticking to them. I've stopped taking them as I always flop, & that just adds guilt & stress that I don't need. I know, I'm a big chicken, but there it is. I agree too that I would much rather spend my time chatting with all my FS buddies, & I think I get more out of doing that than I do with the challenges, but that's just me. You are awesome gal, & I envy your skinny self all over the place! I can't even imagine what it's like to only weigh 168, as I weighed that much in 8th grade ~ no kidding! I've always been very overweight, mostly due to my "trick knees", kneecaps that would dislocate when I ran or did any sports activities. So I just never ran, & got used to being made fun of all of the time by classmates. I seriously want to get down that low in my own weight. You are my inspiration gal, so keep it up! :)
