I finished my Whole30 about a month ago. The lowest weight I hit (during re-introduction) was 228. After a quick re-introduction, I slowly started falling back into my old eating habits. I admit that it was partly on purpose to see how I would feel and how much weight I'd gain back. The good news is that I only gained a couple pounds back and it remained steady from 230-231.5 for the past couple weeks. More good news is that I learned that my old eating habits really just don't make me feel that great. I don't have as much energy as I did on Whole30, my sleep isn't as deep, and I have a lot more gas and bloating. Now that I know all this, I'm starting Whole30 again today! This time, though, I know it will only be for 18 days since I have a mini-vacation planned with my mom, sister, and daughter. However, that is okay since I fully followed the plan once before and have learned what I needed to learn. I don't think I'll worry so much about small amounts of sugar or the wrong type of oil this time either. For example, if I make meatloaf, I won't worry about throwing a bit of BBQ sauce on top. I will just have to try this and see how I feel and if I continue losing weight. If this doesn't work by the time I go on my mini-vacation, then I know I will have to go back on a strict Whole30 again.
