106/72 BP
72 pulse

Post Work out after 10 min rest
106/73
112 pulse

I am out of glucose test strips so no reading this week.

I haven’t lost too much weight but the changes I see in the mirror are encouraging. The last of my belly fat continues to shrink. I know this because now one side of my belly button has more fat than the other side which I took as a good sign. I feel like I am getting down to winning the war with the last scraps of stubborn belly fat. My skin is still a little loose on my sides, I hope that will tighten up with time and by adding some muscle mass.

I am kind of flying by the seat of my pants right now. I seem to be using the mirror more than the scale for measuring my progress. Because of this I really don’t know what my goal weight is anymore. I know what my goal look is though! Once I get my body fat down to a low level I plan to start eating over on calories and adding back some mass. Maybe that will happen in 30 days, or it may take a year. I have no idea. I do know that I am in this for the long haul so I have plenty of time.

And my two times a week ab work out should help too. :) The deadlifts are kicking my butt but I'm still doing them! Im up to 3 x 10 at 160lbs. It's not that much weight but it wears you out doing 10 reps. I keep adding 5 pounds each week.

Try doing 5 sets of 10 some time, builds up some major endurance! When I was doing german volume training I was doing 10 sets of 10. Thats where I made most of my gains, once the endurance was there lifting 295lbs for 8 reps for 1 set became possible. Don't rush to that kindof weight of course, it took me about 5 months of heavy training to get there.

I have yet to load up the bar with anything more than 160 so far. I have no idea what my max may be. I plan to just keep adding 5 pounds a week until I run out of weights or cant finish my sets. :) I am getting a new bench this week then I am going to get a power cage for the house once I get the money. Then I will be on craigs list looking for olympic weights.

You are the man Brent. I'm excited to see you getting into it this much. The way I know that the weight is good enough for me is when the last rep I do is at a snails pace the whole way up, and once you 'lock out' at the top...you just want to let go of the weight instead of putting it down. :) Good way to hurt yourself if your form is bad (which I know yours is pretty good) but I only go really heavy on deads when I have my partner standing off to my side watching my back and knees through the whole movement giving me cues if my form suffers in any way so that I dont get injured.

I'm excited too. I figure if I plan on doing this the rest of my life I might as well get some good equipment to do it with!
