.2 pounds... I've definitely crossed the fast weight loss barrier. Long haul begin!

Last night I went to the gym. I hate the gym... especially MY gym. I live in San Francisco and go to a gym full of perfectly fit gym rats who exfoliate, tweeze, and tan. I'm intimidated by the machines and the seemingly silent culture of who goes on what machine.

I've decided to stick to fitness classes as I do well in groups. Starting next week its going to be an effing ton of classes.
183.8 lb Lost so far: 6.2 lb.    Still to go: 18.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 29 March 2011:

I've been on SB Phase 1 going on 7 weeks now (I have a lot to lose). I fear that I too have gone past the "quick" weight loss period. My weight has fluctuated within the same 3 lbs. for about a week now. Part of it could be female issues and part of it could be my thyroid meds. Anyway, I plan to start with the Zumba DVDs this weekend. Maybe that will push me over the hump!! When I used to go to the gym, I only went to the classes too. It made me feel better that other people were in misery along with me :)

Misery loves company! Just so long as lots of people are screwing up and not just me I'm happy. I thought I read that some basic carbs are necessary after a while for south beach to continue working. I'd move to phase two.

For OHara:Hi, You might want to try switching to Phase II. 7 weeks is along time to be on Phase I steadily. When you go back and forth it seems to work better maybe because you trick your body so it doesn't go into fat storing. Going to Ph II might push you past your plateau & in a couple of weeks if you want faster weight loss try Phase I for 2-3 weeks and switch back again. Hope this helps...good luck! :)
