The Blue Box's Journal, 07 March 2014

My weight is up today, but I'm not worried. I'm guessing it's because I ate too many pretzels last night. :P

I am worried about tonight and tomorrow though; I have a wedding rehearsal and a wedding to attend. I'm the spouse of someone in the wedding party, does that mean I attend the wedding rehearsal and the dinner that follows? I thought I didn't have to, but my fiancé surprised me with the news today...

I was prepared for the wedding, but I don't have a dress for the rehearsal dinner!! Ahh!! I guess I'll have to drag him around shopping today. :P

The 5K is coming up next Saturday and I really hope the weather gets better. This past week has been rainy and cold, so I have been neglecting to run... but according to my Fitbit I've been walking for 5 miles a day for the past couple of days, so maybe that means I'm ready? :/

Rain, rain, go away. Come again some other day! Just not tomorrow, because that is when the wedding is. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

I heart pretzels as well :) Probably the sodium making you retain water overnight. Typically the people in the wedding + their spouse attends the rehearsal dinner - it depends on how long and where the actual rehearsal is at as to whether you'll need to go to that as well. I wouldn't worry too much about how to dress unless it is a very over-the-top dinner, a semi-casual dress or something you'd wear to work should be fine. I am having my rehearsal dinner at a brewery and we've told everyone they can dress casually, so you never know! I'm sure you'll do great at the 5K... just give your best and be proud of your achievement! Make sure you take a finish line picture ;) Good luck!

Enjoy the wedding! As for the 5K, you still got a week to get some running in, so no fears! You'll do great!

Thanks for the encouragement! It sounds like it's semi casual, so I guess I don't have to go out and look for a dress, woo hoo!

Have fun at the at the wedding and dinner. I am sure you will look amazing and good luck on your upcoming run. Are you making a play list of music for when you go or are you taking someone with you?

I'm going with a co-worker and my fiancé, so no playlist needed. :)
