The hard work is paying off! 3 lbs down!

**Edit**
My mother really frustrates me. She know's I've been on my diet and trying really hard to work out. Last night, in order to ensure that I wouldn't just hit snooze and go back to sleep like I do every other time I say I'll get up at 5am to go walking, I put a pile of books on top of my alarm so that it would be harder to hit snooze. I got up, went to the bathroom, weighed in, and I'd lost another pound. That's 3lbs total in about a week and a half. I was excited and went to my mom's room to tell her (she gets up at 4 am with my dad). She ignored me (I know she heard me) and the second I finished saying "I lost another pound!" She showed me the magazine she was looking at and commented on how cute some candy was. I was totally deflated. I suspect that she may think that I will give up on this diet like I usually have done in the past, so one more pound isn't a big deal because she thinks I'll gain it back in a week or two. She's wrong.
202.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 72.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

That could be just the motivation you need. haveing someone thinking your giving up. I wish someone would think that about me because i love proving people wrong! lol Good Luck and prove her wrong!

I agree prove her wrong! Maybe she is just jealous. Keep up the good work 3 lbs and less than 2 weeks that is motivation in itself!

Thanks Clover and Dana. There's not way I'm going to let her doubt slow me down! She'll see that I can stick to my guns on this. I just wish she would at least pretend to care a bit more. I do think part of it is jealousy. She has had a weight problem my whole life and she's always gaining more. She has lots of joint problems and I've never seen her exercise EVER, my entire life. It frustrates me because as bad as it sounds, I sort of blame her for my weight problem because she never showed me proper portion sizes or healthy living habits. I know really this isn't her fault, it's mine, but I can't help feeling at least a tiny bit or resentment. My boyfriend is sort of the same way. He hates being over weight, especially since he was in amazing shape when we met 2 years ago. He was a starting line football player with a 6 pack. When he had to quit football he got depressed and started eating EVERYTHING. We've worked out together and always said we were going to diet together but neither one of us had the courage to be straight forward with each other about our bad habits so we never held each other accountable. Even he started saying "Yeah, right!" when I told him I was going on Weight Watchers and wanted to start running 3 miles a day. But he'll see I can do it, and hopefully if he sees that, he'll see he can do it too.
