Cant beat losing a pound after a weekend of 7000+ calories consumed! Especially when I forgot to weigh until AFTER I’d eaten soup for lunch.

Omg! I’m not normally like Chris but it’s awesome to think I was this last weekend!! Now I wanna try 7k cals every weekend and see if it happens again. That would be awesome! I tend to gain on 1400 when I’m dieting and trying to lose lol. But I’ve never tried 2500/day avg to see what happens.

Everything is well with us. Just super busy with practices, tourneys, kid working a ton, farming for the summer finally finished etc. Hope you and yours are well! I enjoy your pics/posts and your twinkies are adorable!

Same @ Peeperjj on the paradox of low cals and temporary gains, and super high cals and increased energy expenditure. I must say I've never had two 3000+ days in a row...

Me either LC. My avg for those 3 days was about 2375. Expenditure was around 1800 I think. And all of that was just walking to and from games, around the parking lot just to stretch my legs after sitting for so long and a bit of playing with the kids. Only up 300 or so daily from my normal when sitting around at home. The down side is I’ve been super hungry since we got back home. My stomach got used to three big meals a day rather than my usual one big meal and one small meal with snacks thrown in.

My guess: TEF went up, NEAT went up and if you continued with it for weeks, it would be reflected as fat gain. I know what you mean about getting used to the higher cals. Anything under 2000 feels like poverty cals right now even though it's on the higher end of normal. But stuff like this is always interesting to me because I think it's good to think through why people sometimes seem to gain on really low cals and lose or stay stable after overfeeding, and no, we're not all wrong about how much we're eating, so it's not just not accounting for oil or not weighing or whatever. Interesting stuff.
