Kelsey_ZenithRising's Journal, 17 April 2021

Got my food sensitivity test results back and I’m going to be beginning a temporary elimination diet tomorrow before slowly adding moderate sensitivity items back into my diet with the help of my doctor. I have a high sensitivity to gluten, soy, dairy proteins (all dairy), apples, cauliflower, and several food additives (mostly artificial antioxidants and preserves). I have moderate sensitivity to chicken (but eggs are okay for some reason?), cod, haddock, hops, bees, and other food additives. The game plan is to do a detailed IBS and pain tracker (mySymptoms app because I can export a pdf to my doctor) and meet with my doctor to discuss next steps. Cutting out gluten was tough but soy and all dairy products is overwhelming. Wish me luck everyone! I am thankful to begin to have some answers though. ❤️

Husband is gluten free, so I have a lot of gluten free meals, and I had I had to go dairy free for a while, so let me know if you want advise about brands or ways to substitute! I have to say that going dairy free was way less painful than I anticipated. I love all of miyoko’s creamery dairy free products, they are so good!!

Yes! I’m supposed to get a referral for a nutritionist to help with my sensitivity stuff after my appointment with my primary care doctor.

Good to hear! I definitely feel less joint pain so far. And the detailed IBS journaling really does provide some insight into what causes what symptoms.
