I've been doing the carnivore diet. I occasionally "cheat" with veg and chocolate. And even vodka. But it does not seem to impact weight loss. I also have days of super low calories. But I do not keep to low calorie days. Its important to confuse the body by having alternate days of super low calories and higher calories, but consistent with hardly any if at all NO carbs.

A low calorie day for me would be 1 coffee with heavy cream, at night plain pork rinds (1 whole bag) with ranch powder dip powder 1/4th of the packet in the bag. Dark chocolate about 2 of the squares from the giant bar with almonds, and ample water. That would be it for my low calorie day.

On my "eat" day -- coffee with heavy cream, bunless burger with everything on it (yes veg too). OR A chicken, Italian sausage, parmesan, pesto, butter, heavy cream with black olives dish (as much as I want) with 2 squares of dark chocolate. Ample water.

I started out this diet at 222 lbs, today I am 202. The key it to eat when actually hungry. Fight the hunger at first with water. When water simply is not enough then opt to eat, and in small portions (in the beginning) and 1 portion. Once your stomach shrinks, then you eat as much as you want and you'll find you can ONLY eat in small portions.

By forcing the body to wait to eat it helps to shrink the stomach, as well as the low calorie days helps shrink the stomach so on eat days you actually find it hard to consume large amounts of food.

Portion control is key. Only AFTER you have helped to shrink the stomach can you then allow yourself to eat as much as you want, NOT BEFORE!
202.8 lb Lost so far: 18.8 lb.    Still to go: 62.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Excellent advice but you forgot mention to exercise daily, at least five days a week.

Just read your bio.(which I have yet to figure out how to input!?) I would just like to be an advocate for your hubs...I'm sure he wants you to be healthy, but he doesn't care if you're weight is 160lbs or 300lbs...he still thinks you're beautiful and wants to see you naked!😉 Sounds like you have a good plan Keep up the hard work!

@bronkofanky .. it's getting easier. Yes, he doesn't care what I look like. But I feel shame, not as much, but, sadly I deal with self z image issues. Thank you for your kindness.

I tried the carnivore diet, but I didn't have the time to prepare for it in the morning. I had to leave the house around 7-7:30AM. It was hard to do with everyone else in the kitchen around you and preparing meals for everyone else as well.
