I don't record water or tea (herbal) amounts in my food diary. Should I be doing that?

I have no way of changing the amounts in my food, but the big salad I made last night I could not finish. A lot of the chicken was eaten by my girl. although I can not change what is in my diary, I am pleased that I stopped and did not eat it just because it was in front of me :)
228.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 58.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Eileen...I record my food diary in the morning and find that it really helps me stay close to my goals too...but I can go back and change my food diary if something changes...for instance this morning I decided to have yellow squash as a snack, but when I actually had the snack I decided I wanted zucchini too...so I went into my diary and deleted the squash alone, changed the portion, and added zucchini. ..are you on mobile...im on the full site
