First real serious full week, and what happens my weight goes UP! This is disappointing. I've recorded every morsel of food I've eaten, and none of it has been junk, all good healthy choices. I've exercised every single day, many days twice a day. I know from experience I have to keep on keeping on. My only saving grace this morning was that my bodyfat percentage has went down and is no longer in the (++) zone, just the (+) zone. Hope my weight loss buddies did better.
141.4 lb Lost so far: 3.6 lb.    Still to go: 16.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hang in there Danniftso. I feel your frustration. The same thing happened to me, I exercised hard and followed my program to the letter only to see either consistency or increases in my weight. I received various feedback messages from my fellow fatsecret and weight watcher friends, among them: "water retention", "building muscle mass", "not eating enough". I don't know which was correct, I only knew that I had to perserve. Because quitting wasn't going to net me any results, either. I wasn't getting any gratification from the scale but I was seeing changes in my level of energy, the way I felt about myself, renewed vigor in the bedroom, and the way my clothes were fitting. Then finally I began to see some gratification on the scale. I'm still not losing as fast as I think I should for my level of activity and calorie intake but that's okay, I'm not what I used to be and on my way to where I want to be. So my message to you is HANG IN THERE. Don't give the scale the power to defeat you. Just focus on all other benefits of exercise and healthy diet. Slowly or maybe not so slowly for your the scale will begin to show your progress.
