I'm not an expert but I would think you should eat more calories a day than that to give your body it's essential nutrients. Maybe low calories some days of the week but the majority of the week I would eat at least 1200 calories. Also if you are eating nutritious food you get to eat more because they are generally lower in calories. I was eating about 1000 calories a day and read an article about eating to few calories will lead to the break down of muscle tissue. I think it's a good idea to cut back on calories but don't be too hard on yourself, food is important it fuels all metabolic processes in your diet. Good luck!
