Today is day 1 of eating only 500 calories a little hungry but i will fight the urges by drinking hot tea.
333.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 158.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

I'm not an expert but I would think you should eat more calories a day than that to give your body it's essential nutrients. Maybe low calories some days of the week but the majority of the week I would eat at least 1200 calories. Also if you are eating nutritious food you get to eat more because they are generally lower in calories. I was eating about 1000 calories a day and read an article about eating to few calories will lead to the break down of muscle tissue. I think it's a good idea to cut back on calories but don't be too hard on yourself, food is important it fuels all metabolic processes in your diet. Good luck!

My Dr. told me that I need 1376 cal/day just to sustain my normal body functions - I agree with Patriotnutin13 in that 500 cal. isn't enough. :-)

I guess I don't know the HCG as much as I thought & should have known it is done differently with each individual with their needs & weight loss goals. :-) I'm on 800 cal/day & sometimes I feel like I'm really munchy!
