Les Girth's Journal, 17 January 2021

Well it's nearing 4 a.m. in my time zone. I woke up early and probably won't get back to sleep. I decided to weigh early and take advantage of this quiet time to explain a little about myself. I'm an avid pickleball player which is a great way to burn calories. Not so long ago, when I was pushing a 264 lb. frame around the court, I couldn't play for more than an hour. I wore braces on both knees due to the soreness. Today, I usually play for around three hours each day and the braces are collecting dust in the closet. For me, the benefits of losing weight have been dramatic.
223.0 lb Lost so far: 41.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Truly inspiring. We don't have pickle ball here. Just read about it online last year. Sounds fun.

Lol DP! For some reason my hubby got all chatty last night. Then I watched a little TV in bed and before you know it was time to let dog out. Then he wanted on the bed but he was all wet so I went out to the livingroom for awhile. Sorry to hijack your post Les! Hope you're having a great day. I've never heard of pickleball. Will have to look that up. But 3 hours is amazing!!!! It's so wonderful how much your health has improved!!!!

Such a difference, good for you! No pickle ball for me, but I do get up at 4:30 to swim laps (very slow laps).

Thanks all. I love hearing about what people do for exercise. We have some who workout with weights, swimmers, hikers, walkers, bikers, zumba plus many more. For me it's pickleball. BTW, I played 3.5 hours today.
