Mousy1109's Journal, 04 January 2021

My blood sugar was 98 this morning. I am glad to see the scale decrease slightly, but I also know it could have been a lot better if I had been more diligent. This past week was hard. I was put into quarantine because my parents tested positive for Covid. I was not prepared to take time off work, which means that I was going in at night when nobody else was there so that I could get done things that needed done. Between that and the holidays (both Christmas and New Years), I didn't get sleep (nor have a regular schedule). I am the kind person that eats when they are tired, stressed, and bored...and being off work put me into all three of those categories. Long story short, I was not diligent with my eating habits.

This week I need to focus on tracking my food and ensuring water consumption. I have not started back to working out yet, but I need to focus on what I have time for right now. Water, water, water! Less than 20 carbs, less than 20 carbs, less than 20 carbs! I did this once before, I CAN DO THIS AGAIN!

My goals need to start small. Goal 1 - Get under 210 pounds. Goal 2 - Lower my blood sugar to 89 or less. Goal 3 - Get moving on the things I need to do so that I can focus on my weight (like cleaning out the basement so that I can put out the gym equipment). Goal 4 - Fit into a size 12 and L or smaller. Goal 5 - Meet the weight restrictions of my kayak. Above all of this, I must be in His Word and choose to lean on Him for guidance, strength, and peace.

I am a mess, but I am grateful to know that I am His mess and I am not walking this journey alone. God is good.
