Well, almost six months later, I've shaken myself out of one mess and into another one!

Well, I've been laid off from now until March, so it's the perfect time to take time for myself and lose the ten pounds I gained over the last few months and lose another ten besides!

I can't believe I let myself slide so badly. But I know exactly what happened :
a) I wasn't weighing myself weekly and during the months of November and December I wasn't weighing myself AT ALL! So I had no numbers to back up the fact I felt bigger.
b) I indulged in chocolate and popcorn and dinners out and brunches and treats and late night snacks and didn't bother to keep track.
c) I picked up extra hours at work, knowing I was being laid off at the beginning of January and my sleep suffered for it. I definitely did NOT get a minimum of even six hours rest!
d) I did nothing physical other than riding my bike or walking to work.

And I can't really use being tired or anything else as an excuse...I chose to work those extra hours, I chose to stay up late and not rest properly. No one was forcing me to snack constantly or late into the night.

I didn't want to be all "Here's my resolutions...eat better, move more, lose weight." That's not just for the new year, that should be for my life!

I'm just one of those people who always has to be careful - always has to keep track of what's going in my mouth.

Time to move more and eat less!

And there's no time like the present!
