So, I started the cabbage soup diet yesterday. I cheated with a large coffee with cream and sugar. Then my hubby suggested a trip to the beach today. When he said that, I knew my 7 day plan was doomed. I stuck to soup and veggies for breakfast and snack, but he packed a protein bar for me for a beach snack and we picked up an iced cappuccino for the drive. He also suggested ice cream when we were done. Who was I to say no? Then, when we got home, I made sausage for supper to go along with baked potatoes and stir-fried veggies. I decided that since the day was a fail already, I would enjoy sausage with my supper. Lesson of the day: I will fail miserably at the cabbage soup diet. 7 days + no cheats = impossible. So, I have thought of a new plan which I am sure will work. This new plan mixes the old diet I did a few months ago (which worked) plus the cabbage soup diet. Here goes: Every other day, I will eat vegetable soup with lentils (need some protein) for my meals and snack on fruit and veggies throughout the day. I will likely also add in a hard-boiled egg, yogurt, and scoop of PB somewhere in the day. This will work out to be a low calorie yet healthy day. This is similar to the diet I did before (eat 1200 calories every other day) except that this time, I won't bother counting calories. I'm sure the calorie count will be low enough if I stick to my diet. This will be the ultimate plan for me since it will be easy (not having to count calories plus dieting for only 1 day at a time). I'm excited to jump back on the wagon!
