Revamped my weight loss and goal. I originally got up to 169 pounds in January of 2019. Had already gained 18 between 2015-2016, hovering around 130 until 2018. March of that year I under went a level 4 ACDF surgery. Dealt with dysplasia until May. A combination of actual being able to swallow and meds (Gabapentin) I gained 39 pounds in just over 6 months. I quit taking it. My doctor put me on phentermine for a few months, even with the weight loss meds I only lost 10 pounds. Something in me finally kicked into gear this spring while on quarantine. (156lbs) Lost a few pounds when we stopped eating out. Then I purchased a teatox of all things and lost a few more. Started hiking and doing water yoga in the pool. Lost a few more. By the time I went back to work in late July I had lost 14 pounds. Around that time I’d realized I had not consumed any sugar in over a week. Thought I might as well go for it. With only one slip up so far, I’m not missing it at all. While randomly checking the calories for something FatSecret popped up. It was like stumbling into a goldmine. I downloaded the app at 138lbs in mid-August. Already down another 6lbs in only 19 days. It’s such a motivational tool. After plateauing in the mid 150’s for a year + I would of never of believed I could drop the weight almost as fast as I gained it. Being a repetitious eater, locking in healthy, low calorie meals is nowhere as hard a I’d made it out to be. Especially since it’s how I ate most of my life. BTW, I am short, 5’1 3/4” (1/2 inch taller post the neck surgery) and spent 20 years between 110-115lbs (current age47)
131.4 lb Lost so far: 0.6 lb.    Still to go: 9.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
