Up , down, up , down!!
It would be easy to get discouraged- to say like many times before " just forget it- it's not working", then comes the pity party and the abandoning of all sensible eating, then the scales start to click up & up & up and I hope to lose weight again! Around and around this cycle goes, well no more! Today my joy is not dependent on good results on the scales, it is not a magic number or I know before I hop on those scales this morning they are not going. To say I am at my goal weight today, one look in the mirror tells me I am not there yet, this is a journey and I'm running the race. All journeys have uphills when the way is more work and then some downhills where the going is a bit easier. Jesus has promised to be with me on this journey and He has promised that I can cast my cares on Him because He cares for me. I am learning things about myself that a number on the scales can't teach me. Today I'm learning patience and self control and I'm enjoying the journey!!

Yes, this is a difficult time of year, with all the extras for Christmas, visitors, parties etc.... and I think if we just make a slight improvement we are doing well. Blessings, Jan

I got rid of my scale until Christmas Eve to avoid any feelings about my weight and to focus on just eating well and working out.
