I couldn't figure out why I was gaining the weight back I was losing? I didn't change my eating habits or exercise habits and yet I am back to where I started, but a few days ago I found out that I have hypothyroidism, and have to get a full thyroid panel done, which was explained to me that I didn't have enough hormone, hence basically. no to low metabolism,I'm hoping that after I see the Dr. that things will get back to normal!!
207.8 lb Lost so far: 24.3 lb.    Still to go: 77.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I can relate to your experiences. I also have a low thyroid. it took 5 years for them to get my medication fine tuned. I have a theory that we eat more because our bodies aren't using the food properly to create energy. I started on a new weight loss journey 2 1/2 weeks ago. My biggest challenge is that I am always hungry. But I recently noticed (because of the macro tracking) that I don't eat enough protein and that when I ate more of it and less carbs I saw some weight loss. Sorry to hijack your post. I decided to start sharing and seek out others for support. I just wanted to say I can relate. We can do this!!!

I also have hypothyroidism. it's a struggle for sure. I havent been on my meds in years and gained 80lbs due to it. Hopefully I can get back on my meds. I'm over 30lbs down so far without them. Good luck with your journey. The meds will help so much!!
