FullaBella's Journal, 03 July 2013

Thank you all for the input, support, research and comments on my journal yesterday. I am now two days into the RX and no noticeable anything yet positive or negative other than my vision seemed really blurred last night within an hour of taking it; I may push it to right before bed tonight.

My stomach has been growling something crazy since Sunday. It's to the point it wakes me, can be heard from across the room, continues throughout the day and it's not hunger or thirst so weird. And I feel like a limp washcloth sitting here in this chair. Maybe I picked up a narcoleptic tapeworm.

Unrelated to food or diet but semi related to health - I want to share something I discovered recently because I finally read the instructions instead of just 'doing what has always been done.'

I'm referring to 'the pedi-egg' or any other similar callous removing sharp thing you may have in your toolbox for foot care.

Because I grew up watching my grandmother soak her feet first and saw this repeated during professional pedicures I thought that was 'the way it was supposed to be' and always did the same. However, I was stuck in a long line the last time I bought a new pedi-egg and read 'do not use after bath or shower, use dry.'

It is so much better and lasts longer. I've actually started saying 'NO' when the pedicure person pulls out the grater and/or all that other acid based stuff they'd use a stick to apply it to my feet. My feet stay smoother longer, crack less, and don't hurt now.

Everyone's different. I felt because of my blood sugar issues and how diabetes affects circulation and feet I was doomed for life to have those cracking peeling have to soak the feet issues. I no longer do. All because I actually read the instructions.

Go figure.

I think the only time you soak your feet before is with a pumice type file or stone. I've got a file type thingy that is less coarse than the pedi-egg and it is for dry use as well. I do find the dry method works better, too. I'm not sure what could be causing your grumbly tummy. Maybe it is stress related as that often gets the stomach juices churning. I hope it isn't anything gall bladder related.

Good that you're careful with your feet, Bella. Wish I had the patience for all that stuff. I hope you and your family and friends have an awesome holiday.

Just remembering that you'd also not read the instructions that came with the CandiGone... so thinking we may need to add an inner instruction reader to the team... LOL :)! xoxoxo

Well, I never knew that, about the pedi-egg. I'll have to try it dry. Wow. I hope you begin to feel better soon or at least that some sunshine perks you up. You do make me feel lovely - you want to be me when you grow up :) Believe me Bella I don't know this new me, the one that is coping right now. I always cope great in public and then stuff, stuff, stuff in private. I also spent about 10 years in a psychiatric drug induced numb haze - so much of my life I vaguely remember like looking through dirty glasses. So this seemingly self assured person is new to you and me :) Hang in there, keeping coming here, and hopefully the light will shine for you again. Tummy rumbling - are you sure it isn't hunger? And the other day I was sitting doing nothing and your journal comnment came to my mind and I laughed out loud - I'm fine officer, just taking my plant for a walk! That just made me laugh sweetie, out loud belly laugh. I hope he had a sense of humour. Big hugs. Wish I had a solution but hopefully we can hold you up (like you hold me up) until you feel better.

I love me pedi egg in winter. Works miracles - well that and Cetephyl cream. I have to say I've been getting pedicures this spring and summer for the pampering. We wear socks and shoes 10 months out of the year here so that protects my feet more than anything. I have days when my stomach won't shut up too. I think it is usually when it is hungry which I don't let happen very often. Guess I will have to pay better attention. Hang in there - better days will come back for you!
