I can only hope I will be running like that someday when I thin out. Amazing.

Thank you ;o) I used to run 5 miles on the treadmill 6 days a week. Now I only run on Sundays but I do a 8.5 miles run that has 2 serious hill climbs. I do the stairclimber 6 days a week for an hour which is great training for the hills. You don't need to lose weight before starting running. My husband is 70lbs overweight and has been running that way for 30 years. Just take it in small increments. Start with a 1/4 mile until you can do it without straining, then a 1/2 & so on. Regards

Hello, I started jogging at 155 lbs, and had gotten up to jogging 4 km five days a week (almost 3 miles) but then stopped for a while. I just started induction and there is no way I could run even close to that right now. I attribute it to all the extra weight and not enough carbs to fuel so much heavy-ness...I sure hope the energy picks up when I slim down.

I think the whole carb theory with running is bull**** I have done 3 half marathons last year on 30 net carbs or less and had no problems. Your body will get used to running on fat if you do it regularly. I just eat a small amount of protein before I start(like a piece of cheese and then I make sure to eat protein & fat right afterwards (like a large sausage link & a cup of egg white omelette with cheese).

ooh okay thats alright, I might go for a jog this afternoon then. I have just been feeling really fatigued so I didnt feel up to it. I guess I wanna train myself so a fifteen minute jog might not hurt.

Not sure what state you are in but I'm in California's Central Valley & it was 80 at 7am when I finished and it will be 112 this afternoon. If its over 70 where yo are I would drink water before and after even a 15 minute jog. Don't get dehydrated or heat exhaustion confused with fatigue either. Both can make you feel exhausted but are warning signs of heat exhaustion/stroke. Morning is best since its coolest ;o)

yeah, I'd never consider running in the heat yet. I cannot handle it. I live in Canada but its still 75 Fahrenheit here, and so I will be jogging at the gym on a treadmill.

Good, well have a good jog! It increases endorphins which help with your mood and the sense of accomplishment is always a great feeling. Not to mention the shape you will have since it is great for toning hips, legs, butt and stomach! Let me know how it goes
