Waaaah, I went up :(
I am not a smart man, but I am beginning to see a trend. Let me run you through my weeks and see if yoiu can pick up the subtle clues.

last Friday weigh in = 86.4
Drinks on the friday night for my mates birthday. Ate a salad before I went to try to avoid temptation. Didn;t work. Ate some steak and a few snags. Oh, and about 12 beers :)
Saturday mornign weigh in 87.7 :( Yes gained 1.3kg over night. Must have been the salad !=
Sunday weigh in = 87.9 Well the water from all the beer has probably left, so I suppose that's about right.
Had a few beers with a mate.Oh, and a packet of shapes biscuits (yes the whole packet).
Monday weigh in = 88.4 :( Yes another 1.4kg added :(
So then I went back to my usual diet to try to get all of it off.
Tuesday 87.6
Wednesday 87.2
Thursday 86.5 and at this point (yesterday) I had high hopes of a small loss for the week.
but fate stepped in and dealt me a 86.6 kg this morning.

So I added .2kg for the week. It appears I put weight on when I eat salad, no, I mean drink beer :( Who would have guessed :( Why can't kale be fattening ? Waaaahh I like beer !
So the maths is that I have 6.6kg to lose in less than 7 weeks. I still think it can be done. I am going to give it a pretty good go. I do have a boys weekend away in a few weeks (the June long weekend) so that could (will) cause an issue, but I can't see the point of giving up fun completely. So I will still go, drink lots of beers, and deal with the aftermath the next day (and probably the following week !)

gaining 0.4 lb a week

When you count the calories, do you fit your beer in?

I 'make' the beer fit in :) It's essential, so everything else needs to work around it :) I am drinking 'superdry' which is 100 calories per bottle - so it;s one of the better ones, but after about 10 I think the damage to the calorie counting has been done :)

lol i feel you i love beer too. and thats me in a nutshell i be good for weeks then 1 night on it and up 2 kgs then back being good for anothee 4 weeks then it happends again. im just lucky I do my shakes otherwise i would never lose

Maybe try cutting out on the cabbs 3 days prior to your fun then 3 days after too. This does not shake the weighing scale that much... Such that the beer compensates for the carbs you cut out.

Have you tried any of the low carb beers? Some are quite nice, in my opinion anyway. Also, I would reduce the amount you weigh yourself ... I know even weekly weigh ins are enough to derail me at times. Keep up the good work though. Oh and steak and snags are not that bad if you are on keto or lchf.
