I have been thinking of a plan for myself. Three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) I want to follow a low-calorie meal plan. I think this could work because on my off days, I can eat normally (within reason, of course) and this will help me cut total calories for the week. Also, I think that this "one day at a time" diet will be easier to follow since I only have to dedicate one day to it and then I'm done for a day. I know that going all in will be too much for me and my family, so breaking it down should hopefully ease me into more sustainable healthy eating patterns. Once I lose some weight then I can try to balance my on and off days to be somewhere to be between my high calorie and low calorie days. I'm going to give it a go and try to remember to record my weight weekly to see if it's working. I want to give it a month trial. My weight today is 238.5 and my goal is to be 234 by the end of May. I think these are all reasonable goals that I can actually accomplish, which will hopefully help me to be successful.
