Surprise surprise. 81.9. Still the freaking same

I ate more the past two days but still within calorie count. No diff
I have researched a bit yesterday and a lot of nutritionists are against calorie counting
Instead they recommend focus on healthy non processed food lots of veg obviously and listen to hunger signals and only eat till your satisfied
I do tend to be very OCD on things so it’s possible that’s why I not eating enough and my metabolism has slowed right down
So just going to track what I eat. But not the numbers. For a week. See how it goes as counting every calorie that enters my mouth isn’t working for me
It made sense when they compared calories in say a candy bar of 500cals to chicken and veg of 500 calories
How our bodies deal with each. How our gut deals with each. How the insulin in our bodies react to each. That’s why they say a calorie isn’t a calorie
As
500 cals of candy u will still be hungry 5 minutes later and consume more calories. With the chicken veg u would be full and not eat more
Makes sense
180.6 lb Lost so far: 5.5 lb.    Still to go: 26.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
steady weight

I went looking for your "Rant" and figure this must be it! :P I don't think there is any doubt that eating food that is as whole and unprocessed as possible is of GREAT benefit. Every now and then you hear about some indigenous tribe somewhere (like the Hunza or the Tsimane) with insanely good health, incredible longevity or seeming immunity from cancer and heart disease. They certainly don't eat any heavily processed foods. They eat what the land provides. Also our food has become more and more processed over the years, and our health has steadily declined. Of course the processed food isn't the only thing that has changed, AND our longevity is better than ever so you can't necessarily decide to blame processed food. Either way, I try to keep it as simple as possible, and think that's a good way to go. I stopped having protein powders and things like that (not saying they are bad) as if I don't clearly understand how it's made, I tend to avoid as I figure the more complicated it is to make, the more complicated it will be for my body to break it down.

Yes completely agree Raeliss It’s so simple really If our ancestors wouldn’t recognise it on a plate. Don’t eat it. Lol That’s my new mantra anyhow. Sorry for the rant. Was a little passionate. Lol
