parksy64's Journal, 19 February 2020

Weight had gone up to 82.5 then back to 82.2 and stalled for about a week
After much research online I have to concede I have been eating too few calories
My budget is 1400 and I’ve been consistently eating between 900-1100.
And hence the plateau
I kept thinking it would adjust eventually and keep dropping but after a week I had to take action
So yesterday I made myself eat my allowance of 1400. And it finally dropped on the scale by .300
So will do the same today and see what happens
180.6 lb Lost so far: 5.5 lb.    Still to go: 26.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hahaha! The same happened to me... I think our body's think it's starving and keep everything back. After a break away dinner I'm slowly going down again. May be every 7th day should be a break away day... keeping it still healthy. You are doing great, keep it up :)

Thank u footprints. Not that I am glad it happened to you too but it’s good to know it’s not just me Watched some interesting you tube stuff on weight loss today Physicist named Ruben Meerman does a you tube video presentation on the mathematics of weight loss. Absolutely riveting. And entertaining. He’s quite funny Goes for about 20 mins if your interested 🧐🤓

It's heartbreaking that all we can think about is food and our weight. Enjoy your life. Eat for nourishment but don't obsess over it. Your headstone is not going to read 'she finally lost that 10 kilos'. Don't weigh yourself. You'll know if your lifestyle is serving you by the fit of your clothes and how energetic you feel. I wish everyone a healthy life.

I agree to a point with u Kyliann 123 But for me if I am not focused completely on weight loss it doesn’t happen If I take my eye off the ball I get to complacent And I don’t want my headstone to say about losing 10kg but I do hope to have that headstone many years in the future because I am no longer overweight and am healthy lol I do agree with u that u still have to live life and yes often the scales don’t show the real picture. Mine don’t but my clothes fit a little better and my skin looks fab 👍 The discussion and comments and encouragement on this forum is very helpful and respectful Let’s keep up the fight !!!
