Wanna lose pounds? Get yo' sleep!

I Am Still amazed how many pounds I lose after I get a good and long night of sleep! 14 hours / 4 pounds last night. I realize that much of it could be normal water loss, not metabolic, but history has shown that if I am due a loss b/c of charted calorie deficiencies, that the weight falls during long sleep intervals. I think Nimm posted a link to an article discussing such.

Long sleep periods are also good for brain repair after brain radiation/chemo. Double bonus!

I've also switched to a diet that is similar to the modified Atkins diet that John's Hopkins developed for epilepsy control. It consists of a high-fat/moderate protein/low carb ratio. Research has shown that such a diet can help reduce tumor size when combined with radiation& chemotherapy. It also reduces seizures in most patients. I'm hoping this diet will allow reduction of my four anti-seizure medications. Iam experiencin a nearly full-body rash now, likely due to one or more of these drugs.

plus it seems to reduce hunger pangs. Triple bonus!
