After not moving for the last 2 weeks, finally the scales have relented and gone down 1.8lbs. So yippee, it's been good to see them move in the right direction, instead of looking at the same number! 😌

I think I mentioned previously that I had taken up swimming again and so been trying to swim 2-3 times per week. I've been a bit quiet of late, but as a result of swimming again decided to take part in the Aspire Channel Swim challenge and in 12 weeks swim the equivalent of the English Channel (22 miles) to raise money for spinal cord injuries. In 6 weeks I'm very proud to be up to 16.78 miles and raised just over £300. 😊 I've amazed myself really, as prior to August I hadn't even swum for at least 5 years and lap swimming probably more like 20 years.

I'd completely forgotten how good swimming is for both body and mind, but loving how it just seems to clear the mind and almost send you into a meditative state. So, even after I've completed this challenge I intend to keep it up. I'm still only really swimming breaststroke with the occasional lap of front crawl thrown in... I need to work on this for variation, as swimming one stroke can get a bit tedious and of course takes much longer! But alas, I'll get there eventually and burn some more calories in the process.
