Failed miserably this week, dining out a lot and popcorn and icecream at the flicks twice and a chocolate attack all conspired against my fabulous effort. I already have to guard against IBS triggers like onion and was caught by onion in marinades twice, so was quite unwell for a couple of days - hence the chocolate and icecream. No excuses, back on the bike!
I have been reading up on the science of LCHF again in the past few weeks and I think my fat macro is too low, which allows carb creep (isn't that a great excuse to cover my lack of self-control?!). Phinney and Volek's The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living is riveting reading and I recommend it for the sceptics out there.
