Yay for progress! I had a little bit of a slip up if you consider I didn't get all 5 medifast meals in, but since I split up my L&G meal and had a bunch of extra items yesterday, I think I did alright. I did much more research into how to work the Medifast plan and I think I learned how to do it right. It looks like the Calories are supposed to be between 800-1000 and the carbs are supposed to be between 70-100 with the ideal place being around 80-85 for maximum results. I guess I sort of cheated a bunch yesterday by eating some sugar snap peas, which aren't approved. I also had 3 seedless grapes which are definitely not approved. Somehow all of this extra stuff (resulting in over 1000 calories) really helped me lose weight. Happy! Maybe I just needed to jolt the system with some extra calories to let it know that I'm not starving. I think I do need to reduce the use of flavor packets in my water though, although there are no calories, somehow it says it contains 2 carbs! And thats just for half the packet, and I use the whole thing and usually 2 or 3 whole packets in a day. Thats 12 extra carbs that I haven't even been counting on my calorie counter. That could explain a little why i've been stalling last week. Either way, its a new week so I'm trying to be good.

In other news I tried another Medifast recipe. This time I made muffins from the oatmeal. I somehow didn't get it cooked quite enough, but I think a little zap in the microwave fixed that. There's nothing raw in it so even eating a slightly mushy muffin isn't going to cause any damage. I wont say its easier to eat, since its basically just a different shape with the same texture, but the flavor is a little tiny bit better.

Anyway, I'm going to try to be good. Since I started a walking challenge I think I need to get everyone ready to go on a walk with me after the movie the kids are watching is over. This time since I'm alone I think I'll just put them in the sit n stand stroller and try to do it myself. I'll take a couple of breaks for water, and knowing my son I'll have to stop at the park for a few mins, but thats ok! Walking is walking, even when its nearly 100 degrees outside. I'm really hoping to lose this weight so I'll do what I have to do to make it work.

Slip ups happen. I don't always get all of my meals in but its the point that when you remember to you eat. Great job so far!
