Just formalizing what I'm doing, which is high lean protein, low carb, smaller frequent meals, and overall calorie restriction. The base is to get 50 plus grams of protein a day within my calorie target.
I have to say, I've got my own variants.
First, white things are generally to be avoided, or eaten with strict volume restriction. I.e. pasta, white bread, rice....
Juice limited to weekend, lots of sugar.
Have access to very lean and high protein snacks. Some are grocery store now, as high protein cereals and grains are being recognized.
Accountability. Weighing in someplace, and not keeping it a secrets...whether it is delta from baseline I.e. I'm minus 15! Or, the curve.
Partnership with husband and family support to avoid being blindsided. This blog! Need partners in this, ideas to improve, and more accountability. Gentle, escalating activity. I'm working with a physical therapist right now, but the goal is to have a mix of routine activities.
