cookies are a problem area for me too. I am trying to teach myself to eat in moderation, including a couple of treats. in the past I would throw out all sweets to 'diet' but that makes it worse for me. so now I am working on substituting healthier sweets like fruit, yogurt, even some dried fruit...oh and bread/butter pickles! i have to make myself first stop and think before mindlessly grabbing something. keep it up. you can succeed.
