I am not getting on here like I use too. I hate to weigh myself so much. I get down if I gain. So I try and stay off the scales that works better for me. I know when i am putting on a little weight. That makes me work a little harder to get it back off. I am still doing well with exercising and eating right. I fall off the wagon every once in a while. I know this is something i will have to do for the rest of my life. I can not eat what I want and not exercise. If I want to stay thin. I love the way I look and am going to work to keep it off. It is well worth the work. I hated the way the weight made me feel about me. If I can do this anyone can. I remember when I was 186 and thinking there is no way I can lose that much weight. Like I said if I can do this so can you. Just set your mind to it and you can do anything.

You're an inspiration for many of us here. I, too, find that I truly have made a lifestyle change. In my mid-fifties, it is very slow coming off, but it is. And even if I overeat something, it's like just a little, and nothing like I used to do. For instance, yesterday I got into some sesame sticks, and began to eat them mindlessly. I got up and took the bag to the kitchen. I self-corrected today, eating lighter than normally. And I made a mental note not to buy those sesame sticks again for a long while! Before, I would have finished off the bag, then went in search of something else to stuff in my mouth!LOL

Look what you've managed to do in less than a year! Maintenance ain't all it's cracked up to be, Baby! But you know now what works for you, and you can do that. BUT, this is where the scale can be helpful. It's easier to drop 5 lbs than 15. If you weigh at least once a week, you can catch yourself quicker. I tried hiding the scale and going by size, and my size just got bigger!<br> PS My daughter and her family live in Memphis!
