13th day of fasting. no hunger whatsoever.

starting day with big cup of water. drinking 3-4 espressos, plenty of tea, water and also apple cider vinegar shots with lemon and chia and wheatgrass (yuck).

i was nibbling a bit last week with around 7 pistachios and some blueberries and strawberries during day and my weight loss plateaued at 85kg for 3 days. stopped eating completely and it started dropping again

funny that i don't feel hunger at all but my stupid brain has so huge attachment to food that when i see or smell nice food i automatically reach for it. that's what got me here in the first place - that compulsive eating. will i ever get rid of that?
179.7 lb Lost so far: 45.2 lb.    Still to go: 9.9 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 9.3 lb a week

Maybe you need to try a healthy eating diet to help control portions, compulsions and learn a new way of eating instead of just going without anything. When you stop fasting, those urges could come back.

I agree with Yasmine. Going without food for long periods isn’t good for your body.

Healthy eating meaning eat less calories, move more? Ive been studying this for 3 years. Literally nothing works where you spike insulin. Please read "Complete guide to fasting" by dr Jason Fung - its all there and its working miracles.

Healthy eating as in: a balanced varied diet. Something that's sustainable for life.

I know that not eating makes for a quick weight loss, but I would be careful with it. It's making your body think there's food shortage and when you start eating again, it'll do it's best to store as much of it as possible, meaning quick weight gain. we'll that's just my opinion + a friend of mine struggled with anorexia, so I get overly concerned when someone says they haven't eaten in over a day...

The body will go into starvation mode if there is not enough food to sustain it! I would recommend doing the 5:2 fasting diet where your intake is less than 500 calories on your fasting days. Liquids digest quicker than solids so, perhaps, think along those lines rather than going without. It seems to be a very drastic way to lose weight - that will only be gained again once you start eating.

Body switches to burning own fat (thats why its called fasting not starvation) and produces ketones out of it (much better for your brain) Please dont listen to advertisements and what you heard is best. If youre open to this and want real science please check out "Obesity code" by dr Jason Fung - all the studies researches and actual analysis are there

mckmcr I have just ordered a copy of the obesity code. I love a real book to read, kindle doesn’t do it for me. After reading and following Michael Mosley BSD and Fast 800 my views on the mass media “diet” world have certainly developed a little in recent months. I had followed some intermittent fasting plan around 5 years ago and my health was in top form. Then I got married and life changed. Been working on changing this and getting back on track since the end of 2018. Have you followed the No Breakfast Guy on instagram? He has a couple of interesting podcasts. One with two American guys who have just done a 20/20 fast. Makes for some interesting listening.

Amazing that you bought it! It will teansform your life. Will check out the no breakfast guy :) Thats exactly the idea, why people stuff themselves in the morning when usually they're not even hungry. Listen to your body if you're really hungry for more than 30 minutes then yes you should eat. I have a coffee and i can last till 6pm (nearly 24 hours) and i feel better than when i eat. Why would that be?

Mckmcr there is plenty of well documented research out there on the benefits of fasting. People just don’t like change or a differing view from the ones they were raise up with. We all have our own opinions, which we are entitled to, of course. I’m a firm believer in knowledge is power. But that power is personal power not a platform to preach to those who view differently from us. Each to there own in all walks of life I say. I’ll let you know how the book goes. I’m certainly looking forward to reading it! Many cultures have been fasting for centuries and here I am in Britain in the midst of an obesity epidemic.......
