10/14/12

It's really strange, but as soon as I started eating more calories I started losing weight faster. I know in my head the reason why, but it still seems really weird. I can't explain how thrilled I am. I also am thrilled with one more thing that has happened. For months I have spent Saturday sleeping practically all day catching up on sleep. Yesterday was the first time that I got up in the late morning and spent the entire day doing errands all day and went back to bed at a normal time without feeling overly tired. I've also been going to bed a little earlier at night. It seems that I'm finally feeling the effects of my healthier lifestyle. I'm feeling more energetic. Maybe I can finally start looking at getting some exercise. Yesterday, I spent a lot of time on my feet and my feet actually hurt worse than my back. I'm am sooooooo happy!! Even though I freaked out about the short plateau I was on, it was totally worth sticking with the diet/life-style change for the added improved function and overall great feeling.

I'm so glad you made it through that plateau, the first one especially can be so demoralizing. I found the same thing, when I started eating more I actually lost more weight...it seems counter intuitive but for some people like us it really works. Now I always eat close to my RDI and have continued to lose. Thats fabulous that you have more energy. As you move more you will keep losing more weight.

Happy you are beginning to reap some rewards to losing weight. After a while, those feet are going to stop hurting, too, cause you won't have all the extra weight on them... HOORAY for you W2B!!!!! So proud of... Stay strong! We can do this if we stick together. I am on that plateau now and it really works on your mind, doesn't it?

Mom2boxers I know exactly what it feels like. Those plateaus can be torturous, but stick with it and you will make it through the plateau just fine. We all go through plateaus--notice the "s" at the end of the last word? Yeap, I hate to say it, but there will be other plateaus for all of us. I know plateaus are a good thing because it gives your body time to adjust to the weight loss, but FOL is right--it can be very demoralizing if we don't stick together to help each other through those tough times.
