I would look at the latest apple watch that is waterproof.

Keep in mind if you go for the apple watch you’ll need a iphone if you don’t have one and make sure if you do, that it’s compatible with the model, some iphones can’t take the newer software

I know of somebody who won the Apple watch in a competition. Hated it because it needed charging every day. Sold it and bought a Garmin Forerunner235. She loves it! I have recently bought the Garmin Forerunner35 and VERY happy. The GPS is on permanently so it tracks absolutely everything...you will be amazed how your steps add up and it motivates you to keep moving. It doesn't track swimming but that's ok for my needs because I'm not much of a water baby. However it is waterproof up to 50 metres, so even if I should go sailing (and get splashed) (or heavens forbid) I go overboard, the watch will be ok..it really depends on your acitivities of choice.. There are so many of these fitness trackers available these days. So check them all out and compare the specs. p.s. The newer Samsung mobile's have an app called Samsung Health which is handy if you would prefer everything "all in one"

I have the polar loop (first gen) and love it, only thing I wish it had was a HR monitor

I use a B-fit that I bought at Game for R300. Works with the Veryfit app. Does exactly the same as the others for a fraction of the cost.

Depends what you want to get it out of. If you are looking at the fitbit charge 2, maybe try go for the fitbit 3. I need to upgrade from my fitbit blaze. will go for the charge 3 or versa.

I recently baught the Polar M600 and I only use it for tracking my heart rate during exercise it can track your GPS when running or cycling but that drains the battery. I charge my whatch every 2nd to 3rd day and that is a bit annoying if you want to track your sleep pattern as well. I would recommend the Garmin whatches as the Garmin app on your phone is more comprehensive than the Polar or Fitbit "i had the Charge HR" a friend of mine uses the Garmin app and ut gives a better break down of his daily activities than any other app I have seen.

I have an Apple Watch on rewards from discovery. If I don’t meet my weekly goal, I have to pay for each week I don’t achieve. I haven’t paid in over a year. It keeps me motivated and achieving. I love the Apple watches features too

Hi guys sorry for the late reply, I actually meant the charge 3 of Samsung pro 2 because I have a Samsung phone, I am leaning towards the Samsung but its pricey, it has to be water proof as I'm not planning to take it off when I shower or swim, not that I swim often, the garmin also is a great contender, I'm just worried about compatibility, because Samsung health doesn't want to work with fatsecret, but I do like Samsung health, fitbit have a great track record its all like throwing the dice and see what works and what not,
