Weird Bounce up day again. It seems that whenever I have a run of good loss days its followed by a solid plateau where I go up even though I know that my caloric intake was well below my approximate BMR (BASAL Metabolic Rate).

Bathroom Scale: 218.2
FitBit Scale: 218.5

I will continue to log the higher weight to be conservative. More to come later this morning...

Afternoon Update:

I love it (sarcasm) when a meeting goes long. LOL! Totally eating into my FS journaling time. So, big surprise, the bump up continues. Its a pattern of some kind. I finished my protein week and I am back with salads for the next two weeks. I think the jump in weight is probably because of two reason : dense salty food and small evacuations (trying to put it in as good a term as there is...).

Thoughts of the Day:

1) Welcome Home! : So, my wife is pretty successful and well known in her field. In fact, they routinely ask her to speak at her field's conferences. For the past 4 days she was in Las Vegas. She presented on a marketing topic and I helped her with some elements of her presentation. She thanked me and said she appreciated all my support. I told her that I always support her because I know she is smart and she can do anything. Flash forward to last night, her flight arrived in NYC at 1am, she gets to our home at 1:30am. She whispers in my ear "I love you", long story short...I got possibly 1 hour of sleep. It pays to be nice to your spouse!

2) Truth Comes Out - So, I finally know why my wife was acting weird about my weight loss. She said last night " I am afraid you will be skinnier than me." Awwww, I felt bad. I told her "Sweetheart, I out weigh you still by 70 lbs. Also, you look amazing!" Even when I reach my goal weight I would still out weigh her by 30-40 lbs...I will work harder to assure her that I am not changing anything other than my health and physical comfort.

3) FitBit vs. FS - Ok, so I have recieved a few questions on the FitBit site vs FS. First off, regardless of what you guys thought, I am not leaving FS. I love it here, I love to journal here, I love to read people's journals and commentaries here and I have friends here (although I have never met any of you). Now, for a website comparison...FitBit has incorporated a WIFI enable scale and WIFI/bluetooth activity/sleep trackers with its website. I bought the FitBit Aria scale ( I do love it) and pre-ordered the FitBit One. The website receives real time weighings and will sync with the ONE device to see how many steps I took in a day, how many stairs I climbed and how I slept! That information will drive me to be more active and walk more. Now, the FitBit site is perfect for the recording of those stats BUT I can't export my FS friends there...SO I will be staying on FS. Also, some of the calorie calculations and foods are available on FS and not available on FitBIT. What would make FS perfect? If it allowed me to import my scale measurements and my ONE device measurements, if it would notify you via text or email that you received a comment on your journal or new email, that would make FS a one stop shop. As it is, I will use FitBit for the Scale and activity/sleep tracking and use FS for journaling.

SO very happy you got to talk with your wife and realized it was just her brief moment of fear - very natural response - and not something directly about you. And she may have been tense last week about her presentation, too. Glad you are not jumping off FS - it doea help to share information this way, don"t you think?

First, I am glad you are sticking around here. :) My husband told me to not get too skinny last night and that my arms were really skinny now. He is walking with me on more nights now for a couple miles and he also said that he knows we are all eating healthier now (hubby, our two sons and I). I know he likes the "new Kim" as he likes to refer to me now, but worries that he is not as fit as I am now.
