8 hours of sleep never felt so good. A new low this morning...I am under 225. Feeling refreshed but sore from housework Sunday.

Morning Update:

Ok, so my inner thighs are super sore. It feels like I ran or did some sort of strenous exercise but all I did was help my wife lay down some new vinyl flooring in the basement. Granted it was like 3- 4 hours of work but man, I am so sore today.

1) Going Down - Something must have jump started my metabolism again because there goes my weight. A new low for me today. I got up, slowly because I was sore, out of bed, walked into the bathroom to weigh myself and BOOM...new low. I could not believe it. I can see 220 in the distance.

2) Suit up - As a dude who works in the financial district of NYC, it is tough to be overweight. Everyone knows that suits look better on a guy when he is in shape. I want a suit to look better on me. In the past, when ever I bought a suit, I looked kinda boxy, kinda like the buttons on it were strained or the waist was strained. My waist and neck were always out of proportion with the rest of my body. I hate it. So, now that I am dropping weight, I am looking forward to reaching my goal and then going back and suiting up and feeling better about it. It will be a good day!

3) Maintenance - One part of my goal is to weigh 180. However, my ultimate goal is to maintain that weight. I have started to think that I will be on FS even after I achieve my goal. Why? It is because I know that if I continue to use the journaling aspect, if I continue to watch my weight, if I continue to monitor what I eat, I can be warned if my weight starts creeping up, or I start falling into some bad habits again. Dieting sucks but the end product, the goal is the best part. I don't want to have to go through the weight loss again. In order for that to happen, maintenance becomes key.

Fantastic! I don't see 220 in the distance, I see it right around the corner! All I know of NYC is what I've seen in movies, but I can picture those men in suits, and when you get down to 180, you are going to have to buy yourself a really beautiful one, tailored perfectly for you. I wish there would come a time when we could maintain our weightless effortlessly, without this constant recording and monitoring and thinking about it, but I don't know if that will ever happen. Like you, I never want to gain this back!

hey! I've been to NYC financial district. a friend used to live on Broadway & Wall St. Sure, there's suits, but also tons of tourists grabbing that bull's balls!
