I have been focusing on digestive health, by removing foods that make me feel sluggish, this includes wheat, high fructose corn syrup, cane sugar and red meat in moderation.

I have replaced wheat with other grains that are protein and fiber rich, ie: oats, corn, rice. As well as coconut products that enhance the immunity, balance bacteria in the digestive tract, and include necessary probiotics for overall health.

I've learned that listening to your body is key to optimum health and weight management / loss.

Having the correct balance of biochemicals and good-bacteria in your body can affect everything from insulin production and fat absorption to fermentation of undigested foods in the gut.

Obviously, I am doing something right. I am not dieting anymore. I am eating practically every 2 hours, (when hungry) and consuming between 1300-1500 calories a day of healthy fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat and dairy.

For my height and current weight and metabolic rate - the recommended daily allowance of calories is 1400 calories. So I feel my consumption is right in the middle of where I should be, but on busy days when I dip -100, it adds up to ounces of gradual weight loss that I know will be permanent.
