First day, and have wanted to do something about my weight for a long time. This was recommended by my sister. Just had my 40th and want to be fit and 40, not fat and 40. Ok, I've never looked at calorie counting before, and have just seen how many calories I had for breakfast. I think I need to find a challenge and get motivated.
174.2 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 48.5 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Set yourself a bunch of mini-goals which are achievable within a reasonable time-frame. This really helps me to keep myself motivated when I want to cheat & build rewards into your plan. If you have a smart phone you can use the app to keep track of your calorie intake on the go again I find this helps immensely to stop me eating calorie dense things.

Thank you very much. I've entered a couple of the small challenges, which hopefully should be achievable and motivating. I don't yet have a smartphone, but hope to make sure being on this encourages me to note everything down and be honest about what I'm eating, etc. All the best with your mini-goals.
