I've been a lot better about staying on track lately, than i have over the past 3 or so months. There are times when i stray (when my friend comes to town, as usual). These few days i go CRAZY with eating. We eat and eat and eat....and then feel disgusting. It takes me just about as much time as he is here to lose the weight after he's gone.

Ugh! This last weekend when he was here i think we ate a lot less, which was good. I just need to figure out how to stay completely on track when he's here...i for some reason feel like hanging with him gives me free rein to go back to my old habits.

Anyway, moving on...i've been a lot better about eating on plan when i'm here by myself (90% of the time), so that's great. I'm traveling this weekend for work, and hope that i can keep the downward trend on the scale going because it feels a thousand times better to be losing weight than plateauing or gaining weight (and all the things that come with weight gain: bloated, sluggishness, tiredness, sadness, etc).

So here's to another month on plan...i can't wait to weigh in, in October (2 months from now) because that's the month i was anticipating being close to my goal. When i started this in March, i thought wow, what will i weigh/look like in October?? And it's coming up soon and i'm on a good path to be happy when i get there. Even if i'm in the 170's by then, i will feel so accomplished. That will be around 40-50 lbs lost.

I'm happy that i'm not letting myself gain weight again. Before when i would lose weight, i'd gain it back slowly (pretty quickly actually) and then never try again for 6 months or so. This time, i check in on the scale regularly and when i gain weight my goal is to get it back off rather than just stopping weighing myself and then never thinking about it again. So that's an accomplishment....

Anyway, things are good but could be better. I can't wait to read this journal entry and October and see how far i've come...
