Hmmm now I’m a bit worried. This is a lot of weight to lose in one week. Is it muscle? Was I retaining that much water? Not supposed to have a ‘cycle’ after surgical menopause but I find I do have symptoms that week. Emotional mostly with a little bloating toward the evenings. Perhaps that’s the cause? Not going to the bathroom more or less than usual. 100-500 deficit per day this week. I’m thinking my body is ‘off’ and I’ll see a gain next week to balance out.

Certain family members told me today that I was skinny and getting ‘too skinny’. Also that I didn’t need to keep going as I looked ‘just fine’. Why do I restrict myself when I don’t need to. Things like that. Odd since I had a FULL plate of meat and bread today. Same amount of foods just different foods and less calories thanks to the lean meat. Should’ve skipped the bread and butter but a meal of only meat wasn’t appetizing today. Dry meat at that(some showed up 45 minutes late and I believe the meat was in that whole time too) so I needed something else to alternate bites AND drank about 32 oz of tea with the meal. Thankful for the extra protein as it means I can be a little lax at dinner. New plan for certain family meals: meat and rolls only for easy logging and more choices for snacks and dinner. So easy to turn down cake. Glad it’s what they always have so I don’t even want a piece :).

Had a thought... went up 1# last week. If that was a false gain like water then it makes it 2.6 for last week rather than 3.6. Still a lot for me as that is right up there with beginning diet losses from March. BUT, could it possibly be that my body is reverting to how it was as a teen and young adult? Most of the time I had issues gaining weight. I had a range that I fell into and if I tried tog at out of that 10# range it was next to impossible. I’ve since learned that I can’t just cut a snack or go for a short walk. I have to do those together AND cut portions, cut another snack and be way more active than a short walk. If I’m still losing this quickly I’ll call my dr to see about some labs. This stuff scares me after cancer. Mainly because I’m not trying to lose this fast and haven’t done anything that different compared to previous weeks. In 1 week I’ve lost 2.7% body weight.

Ohhh another thought!! I’m full of them it seems lol. (Full of something as Mom would say) Anywho perhaps it’s because I missed a weight training day last week? My home workouts have been limited on time as well. Trainer measured me 7% less BF than in June. Perhaps I was gaining muscle about the same rate as I was losing fat and now that I’ve missed one full workout and some small short ones, the scale is catching up because muscle gain slowed/stopped for last week. ——————- Supposedly that’s so hard to do it’s like farting rainbows or seeing a unicorn. Kinda hard to believe that. Much easier to think I’m having rapid muscle loss and wrong measurements for the BF testing (calipers).

I don't think I’m gaining much at all honestly. I think I’m just losing fat on my arms so can see the muscle a bit better ;). Had my gain over night so I think I’m where I should be now. Protein is about 100 per day. That’s what the dr recommended but some days I still get 120g. ;)
