And there it is.....the little red arrow. I successfully avoided it since early July but it finally caught up with me. Contributors were a dessert heavy Tuesday and an abnormally low weigh in that day. I learned that trying to lift weights coming up on 60 hrs fasting does not work for me. I thought it wouldn't matter because my weight training is laughably amateur but it was an epic fail. Weights that I had wrangled with last week suddenly felt like I was trying to push and pull a mountain. There are positives to be appreciated too though. Two people this week told me I had to start looking at lowering a size in clothes. I am always wary about looking like 10 lbs of sausage in a 5 lb bag but when others are noticing it is probably worth investigating. Also, I made it up 19 flights of stairs without feeling like death was imminent. Interestingly, I did the stairs fasted and didn't have too much of a problem. (Don't get me wrong, it wasn't fun or anything.) Lifting weights is different somehow.
