Last day of the month. Time to decide if I want to lose fat/cut or gain muscle/bulk and stick with it. 2 weeks. Just 2 short weeks to gain shouldn’t be too hard. Other than for 21 weeks now I’ve been in losing mode. Even in the last couple weeks that I’ve slowly added in more calories to get to maintenance I’ve wanted to lose. All in the mind and my mind defeats me half the time lol.

But I have a plan. When making meal plans and guessing calories for the day ahead of time I’ll check out Diablos journal. Surely there are others I can look at as well. Show me your arms ladies and gents! If I look at muscles and keep that goal I’m the front of my mind as I weight my food and make meal plans then surely I can get in maintenance + 100 calories per day :). But oh the protein! And limiting fats. I see a lot of hamburger patties, steak and chicken breasts in my future but hey, everything I read says I need lots of carbs for fuel so there is that. Fats and carbs macros may not be precisely where they should be as it’s overwhelming to work on all three constantly while trying to prepare a meal 5 people will eat. Today is the day I get my head in the game! It really helps that this morning I can tell my right arm muscle has grown. Not much but some. Or maybe the fat covering it has lessened lol. Whatever it is I’ll take it!
136.2 lb Lost so far: 24.4 lb.    Still to go: 11.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Note to self: goblet squat, sumo deadlift and elevated pushups. Use weights not Macy as she wiggles and form can’t be great with a wiggly 40# kiddo. Find something 20# & 30# around the house to use. And find a sturdy box to jump on. Stairs don’t work and you’ll land on your rear. 18”? Then move to outside bench?

I am working on both at the same time. I upped my calories closer to maintenance and raised my protein. I don't count my work outs in my maintenance number I use that to help reduce my excess fat. I don't lose much at all, maybe 1 pound every week or so. but I do see the belly fat reducing.

I was too baskington. I’m not seeing much muscle growth however. I’ve been working out 2-3 times a week for 20-40 minutes each. Usually 25-30 for weights, 30 for cardio, 10-20 stretching/yoga etc. I’m losing less than a pound a week so I think I’ve hit my maintenance. Chris- I don’t have a gallon of water but I have 8# weights. Did that today and 10 goblet squats with it was nothing. No muscle burn, very little heart rate increase, not out of breath etc. My cats are 12&15 pounds I think. May try using them 😏. I have a small safe about 6”x10”x14”. Thinking about weighing it down with rocks or something lol. Would be harder to grip though. If I don’t feel like I can’t go on by the end then I don’t feel like it was a productive workout :/. BUT my bicep to waist ratio is getting better 🤩. But that could be a fat gain on my arms too haha.

Yeah I’ll have to figure something out. Can’t find my leather gloves :/. Somehow it’s always MY gloves that go missing from the drawer. Probably cause they fit the oldest great and almost fit the middle. I have a pair of cotton gloves that may help and an old jump rope I could possibly rig up. Workout, lunch then off to dr so it’ll be late by the time I get home. Hoping not dark so I can look for and bring up the block :).

Please ignore the fact that it wasn’t the last day it rather the day before there last day lol. For some reason I thought it was the 31st already :/.

Lol. I’m always coming and going and quite often forget the date or the day of the week. I set a reminder or alarm for everything and almost every single thing is in my calendar. And I still forget the day/date :/. I’d say it’s chemo brain but I think it’s really Mom brain from constantly found and doing with/for the kids.
